Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Azure Electrical (“we”, “us”, “our”) to any customer (“you”, “your”).   By accepting a quotation, placing an order, or engaging our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

Our Services

Azure Electrical provides electrical and mechanical services including but not limited to installation, maintenance, repair, testing, and compliance work.   All work will be carried out by qualified engineers in accordance with relevant UK regulations, including BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and any applicable building or safety standards.

Quotations and Pricing

All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
Prices are based on the information available at the time of quoting. Any changes in scope, materials, or access conditions may result in a revised quotation.
Unless specified, prices exclude VAT which will be added at the prevailing rate.
Quotations do not include unforeseen costs arising from concealed faults, asbestos, or unsafe existing installations.

Acceptance of Work

Work will be scheduled once we have received your written acceptance of the quotation or confirmation via email.   By accepting a quotation, you authorise Azure Electrical to carry out the agreed work and to use suitable materials and methods necessary for completion.

Access and Site Conditions

You agree to provide clear access to the site during agreed working hours.   If our engineers cannot access the property or if conditions are unsafe, we may charge a call-out or rescheduling fee.
We expect that the working environment will be safe and free of hazards. Please inform us of any known risks or restrictions before work begins.

Payments and Invoicing

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date for domestic work and 30 days for commercial clients.

Late payments may incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act 1998.
Materials remain the property of Azure Electrical until full payment is received.

Cancellations and Delays

If you wish to cancel or reschedule work, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice.   Cancellations made after this period may incur a fee to cover lost time and administration costs.
Azure Electrical will not be liable for delays caused by factors outside our control, including supplier issues, extreme weather, or restricted access.

Guarantees and Warranties

All work carried out by Azure Electrical is covered by a 12-month workmanship guarantee, unless otherwise stated.   Manufacturer warranties apply to specific materials or equipment installed.   This guarantee does not cover damage caused by misuse, tampering, neglect, or interference by unauthorised persons.

Liability

Azure Electrical holds full Public Liability and Employer’s Liability Insurance.   We take great care to deliver quality and safety, but we cannot be held liable for:

Pre-existing faults or defects in your property or electrical systems
Consequential losses, such as loss of profit, income, or business interruption
Delays caused by factors outside our control
Our total liability shall not exceed the value of the work carried out.

Compliance and Certification

All work will be completed in compliance with relevant UK standards.   Where required, we will issue certificates such as Electrical Installation Certificates (EIC), Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR), or Minor Works Certificates.

Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring:

Accurate information is provided before work begins.
Access to electricity, water, and facilities where necessary.
That the property is safe and ready for the work to be carried out.

Termination of Agreement

Either party may terminate this agreement if the other party breaches its terms and fails to remedy the breach within 14 days of written notice.

Data Protection

Any personal data provided to Azure Electrical will be handled securely and used only for the purpose of providing our services, in line with UK GDPR and Data Protection laws.   We will not share your information with third parties without consent, unless required by law.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.   Any disputes arising will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
